Online Exsys Corvid Tutorials

Exsys Corvid™ is a very powerful environment for developing knowledge automation systems. It allows the logical rules and procedural steps used to make a decision to be converted to a "rule" representation that can be delivered on-line. It is not difficult to learn to build rules with Exsys Corvid. Corvid uses an English and Algebra syntax to build structured If/Then. Rules are easy to read and understand. No programming knowledge is required.

These tutorials are designed to get you started using Exsys Corvid and give you some ideas of how you can use it. Each tutorial typically takes 10-20 minutes to run. You can run them at your own pace. They are designed to be run in order, with most tutorials building on earlier lessons. The tutorials show and explain all the steps in building a system. You can just watch the tutorials, or follow along with them in Exsys Corvid and build your own system. (If you have not already downloaded and installed the Exsys Corvid evaluation software, go to this link.)

The tutorials will give you a good background to start your own systems. In addition to these tutorials, there is the full Corvid Manual, which provides much more detail on functions and capabilities.   Also there is a “How To” section that provides detailed instructions on some more advanced tasks, such as interfacing to databases, building dynamic web sites, saving state, running validations, etc.

Give it a try. Download the Evaluation version of Exsys Corvid these tutorials will have you building systems in a few hours.

Quick Start Guide - The Place to Start
This is an introduction the key Exsys Corvid concepts by following along and building a small system with Exsys Corvid. A PDF lesson leads the user through the steps in building a small system. Many new users find it best to see this overview of all the steps in building a system before running the tutorials which go into much more detail on each step. Online Tutorials
There are also a series of online animated tutorials. Unfortunately, these rely on Adobe Flash which Adobe has discontinued. Some users may still have the Adobe Flash Player installed which can play the files. In addition, there are some (and will probably be more) third party programs that can play SWF files. Exsys Inc does not recommend or endorse any specific SWF player. The full set of tutorial .SWF files can be downloaded in a ZIP file from Flash Based Tutorials ZIP file.
